We've moved!!!

Andrew and I are finding ourselves very at home in our new abode. We haven’t yet sorted out internet, hence the no blog entries for the last while. I’m feeling very spoiled with a new washing machine, fridge and sewing machine all of my very own!!!

I’m so glad we are able to stay in the country! And that we are still walking distance from Mum and Dad’s farm. The last couple evenings Andrew and I have sat on our deck enjoying the breeze, listening to the trees and watching birds. The swifts alternate between consultations on the clothesline and flying just above the cow pastures to catch roaming flies and bugs. All birds momentarily stop their business, disperse and squawk loudly as a hawk passes. He promptly gets chased off by some persistent Spur-winged Plovers. I couldn’t help but laugh when Andrew pointed out the steers casually walking from one end of the long pasture to the other- for no apparent reason. One starts and they all follow when the end is reached they turn around starting back to where they came from and on it goes. The sun set doesn’t get to show off to us as it did at Clandon but we’re still blessed to enjoy the displays of creation amidst a new back drop.

Our neighbors are missed but I’m greatly enjoying the added space and the beautiful lay out of our new home. Our room looks so empty and spacious without Zeke’s crib and clothes decorating the corners. I do feel especially disconnected from family with no internet or phone line hooked up yet. The distance feels so much more real without emails sent and received just with a few clicks. With the extra roominess and more privacy I’ve taken to turning on favorite cd’s more often and traipsing around the house. Nothing makes me miss my sisters like listening to old musicals, silly and sentimental songs and dancing gaily. It’s so easy to picture you laughing at songs with me, impersonating, choreographing and dancing freely. It’s just not as much fun without you. You should see Zeke laughing hysterically at me and scurrying after me until he gets picked up and swung around.

Zeke's busy exploring his new home. He's acquired some bruises as he's taken to pulling himself up on various objects.

Enjoying last Clandon Sunset :)

Moving day!

Using our new African dinner set! :)

We've just set up our hammock on the porch. ;)

  5. Our House is WAY Better!!!!! (Jokes). It's better and not better Eden because I liked it when I could just walk up the hill and visit you guys but its better for you because the house is bigger and you don't need to sleep with Zeke any more which I don't think you miss terribly much!
